About Me

Hey hey all! I'm Drake Lionheart, but you can call me Lion! I'm a storyteller and game designer who is driven by a passion for taking familiar spaces and making them strange, asking people to confront what often seems comfortable and safe, and challenging them to delve beyond the surface.I put a premium on the exploration of both literal and emotional spaces in gaming. Relationships play such a huge role in shaping who we are as people, our relationships with each other, our relationships with the immediate world around us, and our relationships with ourselves. As a storyteller and game designer my goal is to take the time to celebrate and challenge the way in which these relationships exist and make us who we are and who we want to be.
Actual Plays and Tabletop Roleplaying Games are a unique form of media that provide a medium of storytelling unlike any other. They're a way to express and share your emotions and experiences with others; both at your table and with your audience in a raw, organic way that includes the passion of the cast in it's expression. As a storyteller I provide passionate emotional narratives, deep descriptions, and well thought out characters to every role. Often including levels of tragic and sarcastic vibes.During my time in the TTRPG space, I have raised $8785 across multiple charity events for The National network of Abortion Funds, The National Alliance on Mental Illness, and The Crisis in Gaza through Project Hope, and through Mutual Aid events.Beyond my passion for TTRPGs, I am a huge fan of professional wrestling and it's similarly unique space in storytelling, an avid player of Magic: The Gathering, MOBAs & Autobattler games, and have a large collection of unique decks of playing cards to fuel my sleight of hand addiction. Besides that I spend much of my time working on my creative writing and being a full time dad to 2 amazing kids.
